The CWA District 1, IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met with the Company today on an informal basis to continue discussion on issues involving Flexibility.  As the clock keeps ticking toward expiration, the Company will not even engage in honest, informal discussions around difficult issues that both parties need addressed even though we have tried to engage them in these discussions.

The Company needs to get serious and remove their retrogressive demands and start bargaining with your Union.

With only 4 days left until the expiration of our contract it is clear that there is no urgency on the part of the Company to reach an agreement. Verizon has no regard for our members who built this Company and made this Company profitable.

Strike signs are being delivered to all Locals by Thursday.
